Sneak peek into our first issue, blog Q+A with Steven Uccello, The Bird Nest Salon & Gallery, Connecticut!

Leading up to our first issue going live mid-August, we’ll be sharing some sneak peeks into our featured people articles, so you can get a little flavour and feel of who they are, and get a glimpse at what will be coming up in our first issue!

StevenYour name and company:
Greetings, My name is Steven Uccello, (here is a bit of trivia) my last name translates to “BIRD” in Italian and that is where I found inspiration for the name of my business, The Bird Nest Salon and Gallery.

What do you do, quickly, what’s your “elevator pitch”?
Is it a Gallery within a Salon? Or a Salon within a Gallery? You decide… An experience at The Bird Nest changes the face of how clients are looking to receive personal services. In a one chair salon, each client is exclusive. It really is the “Ultimate in Personal Attention & Privacy” But it is the Gallery of local Connecticut Artists showcased here, that really makes The Bird Nest special.

What you’re up to this summer and where can people see you, your work, in person or online?
When I am not at the beach…LOL!,  you will find me busy at “The Nest” working with my clients. The Summers on the Connecticut Shoreline are always very tempting to relax a bit more! I love to get out for a hike, go for a swim or a long walk on the beach <3
Also beside being out in nature, I am addicted to Facebook! I love to network online. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Etsy… I love them all. ANY place where I can go online to be inspired, or to promote the salon and other local artists!
