Leading up to our second issue going live mid-November, we’ll be sharing some sneak peeks into our featured people articles, so you can get a little flavour and feel of who they are, and get a glimpse at what will be coming up in our next issue!
Hometown:
I live in a area called Ruskin between Maple Ridge and Mission, BC.
What do you do, quickly, what’s your “elevator pitch”?
Mostly I draw stashes. Stashes of fabric not mustaches, unless they’re printed on fabric in someone’s stash… Then, I guess you could say I draw mustaches too.
What you’re up to at the moment, and where can people see you and your work, in person or online?
I’ve been drawing, drawing, drawing! I just finished a drawing for a Warp and Weft/ Exquisite Textiles (a Canadian Online fabric store) Challenge. Our guild, Fraser Valley Modern Quilt Guild was invited to make something out of specific fabric and I drew mine!
Recently, I’ve been picked up by The Little Cricket Gift Gallery in Maple Ridge. I’m super excited about that! I’ve wanted to be in there for a years!
Then, Carol at Favourite Gifts in the Londsdale Quay has been a huge supporter of my work over the years so I always have a little somethin’ somethin’ at her store. And people can always see what I’m up to on my website, www.lysaflower.com. I love it when people pop in for a visit!
Thank you Lysa! Find out more about Lysa and lysa flower in the upcoming Holiday 2013 issue of Made In Mag, launching mid-November!
